Tim Talks About Getting Drunk on 'The Bachelorette'
Tim McCormack, AKA the drunk guy, talks about what really happened that first night on "The Bachelorette".
Let me just say, this is a nice guy! I feel so bad that he let the night get away from him somehow. If you've been to college, you've probably had one of those nights (maybe not that bad), but felt regret the next day. Imagine feeling that regret and having millions of people across the country seeing it play out. I really feel for him! The 35-year-old Long Beach, NY resident also works as a sales representative at a liquor distribution company.
I asked him what happened that first night and he said that basically his nerves got the best of him, he drank more than he realized and couldn't believe how the night played out. He said he watched parts of the episode but found it stomach churning to watch.
Fortunately, his friends, family, and coworkers have all been very supportive of him. He says that he's never gotten that bad before, even during college. He said that he would be the first to say, wow that guy needs to check into a program, but assured everyone it was a one time thing.
As for his confrontation with the masked man, Jeff, he said that he did find the mask incredibly odd, but should have bit his tongue. While he thinks it was strange, there was no need to get as confrontational as he did, and it was the alcohol talking.
Interestingly enough, Tim was supposed to appear as a bachelor on Ali's season of "The Bachelorette" but couldn't due to work. He says she's probably counting her lucky stars for that one. Still, he says he would love a second chance at being on "The Bachelorette" and he would consider appearing on "Bachelor Pad 2". I think that would be a really good thing for him, and give himself to show him as the real him. We'll have to see if he makes the cut. I asked him how he would be on "Bachelor Pad 2" if Jeff came back with his mask, and he said he would try to restrain himself, but who knows until you are in the situation.
His message to Ashley - a giant apology! He says that he hopes to meet someone like her who is beautiful, nice, fun-loving, adventurous, and loves their family. He thought she showed a lot of class in the way she handled the situation with him because he feels a lot of other girls would have just thrown him out of there right away and not have been as nice as she was.
Check back tomorrow because I will post the full transcript!
