Bentley Coming Back Next Week, Three Guys Sent Home This Week
It’s time for a beat down on this week’s “The Bachelorette”, physically and mentally! Seriously, I am so mad that they made us think the big Bentley blowup would be tonight and it’s not until next week! UGH! Let’s talk about that in a bit, and first recap everything else that happened.
The guys and Ashley are in Chiang Mai, Thailand. There’s a one-on-one, two-on-one, and group date this week. Ben F. is the luckiest guy this week because he gets the one-on-one date. This date was so sappy! They are so lovey-dovey! When Ashley showed up to take Ben out, they all ran up to see her like little puppies and then had that sad look as she walked away with Ben. That’s the name of the game fellas!
She liked how they just went out around town and explored together. She said the date was a balance of real life mixed with new experiences. They ate some street food and he even bought her some souvenirs while out and about. They go to a temple where they can’t kiss and they have a “mental kiss”. Eww lol. I mean, that’s just odd. I know it’s supposed to be cute but it gives me the icks. The good thing is that Ben’s feeling s for her are growing and they are actually a nice couple.
They have a beautiful outdoor dinner later in an amazing flower garden surrounded by candles. Ben F. talks about how he became an “emotional zombie” after his father’s death and he was a bad dater. Does that mean he cheated on people? If so, let’s hope he’s really changed like he says he has. Finally they get to kiss as ladies with candles danced around them. She gave him the rose of course and she says that he’s the kind of guy that she could fall in love with!
Back at the house, the guys get the group date card. Going on the date: Constantine, Ames, Nick, Blake, Lucas, Ryan, J.P., and Mickey. That means that Ben C. and William will be going on the dreaded two-on-one date. I just love J.P. I’m sorry, I can’t hide it! He says at the beginning of the group date in his interview how he hates group dates and he doesn’t gain any ground with her. I love his honesty! I mean, he is truly there for her and that’s awesome.
They guys find out that they will be doing some Muay Thai boxing which is kind of like kickboxing/ultimate fighting. They kick and punch and it gets crazy real fast! First up, was Blake vs. Lucas. They were throwing some real punches! Ashley gets worried, but in the end Blake beats Lucas.
Next, were Mickey and J.P. J.P. seemed to think that he might lose and said he was going to go in and take his beating like a man, aww. As Mickey starts pummeling J.P., Ashley says that she doesn’t want to watch anymore and Lucas says, “Hey you are the one who set up this date”. Way to comfort her! All of a sudden though, like Rocky Balboa, J.P. turns things around and starts pounding Mickey! J.P. wins!
Ryan and Ames were up next with the punch heard around the world. Poor Ames, first he gets stuck with the pink boxing shorts, and then Ryan gives him a concussion. He punches him just right in the side of his head and the fight is called off. He said everything was just fine, but as he sat there watching Nick and Constantine fight (Constantine won) his eyes got glassy and he got woozy.
I don’t think she’ll be picking Ames in the end. Here’s why: Shouldn’t she have gone with him to the hospital? If my husband was going to the hospital, they would have to pull me out of there like a crazy woman to not go with him to the hospital. I really think she should have gone with him! Also, later at the after party, Ashley’s like, let’s not let Ames being in the hospital ruin the mood of the night. HA! Ryan feels really bad, but apparently not bad enough to sit at the hospital with him and miss out on some time to gain some ground with Ashley! The guys were all making fun of Ames’ pink boxing shorts as he walked in the room.
Ashley talks to him and he says he still feels dizzy and can hardly put a sentence together to talk to her! Aww! He also apologized a thousand times when she should have been apologizing to him a lot for letting him get beat up for no reason!
Blake and Ashley get some time to chat, where he reveals that he needs some reassurance. They talk about how relationships are a marathon, not a sprint, and how the hot out of the gate relationships tend to fizzle out fast.
Then, Lucas and Ashley chat. I’m not his biggest fan. He’s a little too stern, serious, and sarcastic for my liking. They talk about his golf hobby, and she asks him to show her how to swing a golf club. He gets behind her and is showing her and she says, “Should I stick out my butt?” He nearly dies! Ha! I will say that as he was showing her how to hit a pretend golf ball, our News anchor here at WABC Bill Ritter said, “Clearly he’s going for a hole in one!” Classic!
As the night winds down, Ashley grabs the group date rose, and gives it to Blake. Seriously? He whines about needing some reassurance and you give him the rose? What about the guy who got a concussion for you? Remember him?
The next day, Ashley has her two-on-one date with Ben C. and William. William is diabolical! They take a raft ride down the river and he’s getting jealous of all of the time that Ben C. and Ashley are spending talking to each other, so once they get a little alone time together during their picnic, he throws Ben under the bus. He tells Ashley that he has been bragging about all of the dates he’s going to get once he goes home. First, of all, not with that hair he won’t. Second, it seems like he was just joking around with the guys.
He’s completely caught off guard and asks her why, so she tells him. He tells her it was not a serious conversation, but he understands and he gets rowed away with two men on a raft back down the river. Poor Ben.
William thinks that he’s got it made now, but not so fast. They have this beautiful dinner, but all they can seem to talk about is how they need to get back on track. They could not seem to recapture the romance they had on their awesome first date together. Ashley stops the date towards the end and tells him he’s got to go. Back at the house, the guys rejoice as Williams suitcase is also taken away.
Time for the cocktail party. I really do not like Constantine all that much. He doesn’t seem that into her. He even tells the guys he’s not quite there yet and has to be sure before he takes her home to meet his family if he makes it that far. While I appreciate his honesty…I think he should have stronger feelings by now.
J.P. and Ashley get some time to talk at last and she asks him if he can see her in his real life and he says absolutely. Let’s hope so J.P.! I want you two crazy kids hanging out together in NYC! Still, after her talk with him, she finds herself thinking about Bentley (barf).
She chats with Chris Harrison about her feelings and he basically tells her she’s not normal for feeling the way she feels and says that they need to do something to give her closure. Hey, I have an idea. Just show her the video interviews of him saying those disgusting things about her that will totally do the trick. Apparently not, because they decide to bring him out to Hong Kong next week. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to see his mushed up looking face again, but there he was in the preview. Gross. Hopefully he acts like man this time (my hopes aren’t that high) and he’s honest with her.
Time for the rose ceremony. Ben and Blake are already safe with roses. Also receiving a rose: Constantine, Lucas, J.P., Ames, Mickey, and Ryan. Nick is sent home. He says he’s devastated and he thinks that Ashley is missing out on a perfect husband.
Next week, we’ve pretty much covered it! Stupid Bentley is back for real. Let’s hope he’s gone immediately after their conversation. I’m really looking forward to watching her connection grow with the guys who are really into her like Ben F., J.P., Ryan, and Ames. I would also like to see some more interaction with Mickey!
Hugs, Kisses & Roses,
