Ames Brown Talks About His Time on 'The Bachelorette'
Ames Brown, the most recent guy kicked off "The Bachelorette" and the newest cast member on "Bachelor Pad 2" took some time to talk about his time with Ashley Hebert.
First off, this guy was crushed when Ashley sent him packing. He viewed their relationship as very real, and he was completely caught off guard when she eliminated him after the hometown dates. Ames said that he may have thrown up when he got out of the limo after the exit interview...aww!!! He thought his hometown date with Ashley in Pennsylvania went really well and said that his family loved her.
Ames said, "I felt like we had a great date, and I picked up on that my progress was a lot slower but, I didn't see that as a negative necessarily, I was trying to take it slower because I wanted it to last forever." Seriously, how sweet is that?! This guy is one in a million for sure.
Ames also said that what he saw on TV was "90% new" to him because he had been so focused on what was going on with he and Ashley's relationship, that he didn't have a clue how close she was with some of the other guys. He admitted that he really let the time aspect of the show get away from him and he should have probably moved things along a little quicker.
It was really funny, when he was asked if he was in a relationship now, he stumbled around quite a bit and said that we would all have to watch "Bachelor Pad" to see how that works out. Interesting! But, the very next question he was asked, he said that if he was approached, he might consider being the next "Bachelor". If he does have a girlfriend, I'm sure she probably wouldn't like the answer to that question, unless he just answered that way to throw everyone off from his previous answer.
Ames said that he was truly falling in love with Ashley and after the hometown date, the thought of proposing to her and making her a permanent part of his life was becoming more of a possibility to him, and that was a possibility he was very excited about. He said that contributed to his feelings of being heartbroken.
Was anyone else wondering why he had a smile plastered on his face when Ashley let him go? Ames said that he was totally disconnected from the moment, and he was trying to keep it together. He said he didn't want to make a difficult situation for Ashley even more difficult by dredging stuff up. Ames said he wanted to exit in a classy way, and he did.
Right now, Ames is in Los Angeles where they are taping "The Men Tell All" episode. Remember, that's going to air on Sunday, July 31st at 9 p.m. on ABC! I'll have the full transcript posted tomorrow!
