Synchronized Swimming and Jake vs. Kasey on 'Bachelor Pad'
Tensions are at an all time high this week in the “Bachelor Pad”. It picks right up where it left off last week with Melissa outraged over Blake flirting with Holly. She’s crying and flailing around all over the place. Holly even tries to talk to Melissa and explain that they were just flirting, nothing was going on, and she says it’s just her way to flirt with all the guys!
Chris Harrison comes in and announces that they will all be doing synchronized swimming as their challenge this week. They are split into two teams, guys vs. girls. They are judged on technical ability, effort and showmanship. The show brought in some professional coaches to help the teams get a routine together.
Just based on the practice and rehearsals, the guys are a much stronger team! They actually look amazing and surprisingly good at doing the synchronized swimming. However the ladies, they are a hot mess. They are flopping around like limp cold fish. Still one guy and one lady will win immunity. Although they are performing as teams they are competing as individuals.
The guys, just as I predicted, did an amazing job! They really looked fantastic and had great formations. It was gross because Erica started talking about Jake’s package and then they did a close up of his crotch. Ew! Dave thought Kirk did a good job while Natalie thought Jake’s “Dancing With the Stars” experience gave him an edge.
In the end, Michelle won out of the ladies, and Michael won for a second week in a row out of the guys! Vienna throws a fit because she felt like she worked so hard and deserved to win.
Before the date cards arrive, Kasey and Vienna have a really stupid fight because he thinks that Vienna is being too nice to Jake. She told him “good job” at the synchronized swimming routine and Kasey thought that threw off their entire strategy and he just feels under appreciated. Their fight made Melissa and Erica really uncomfortable because they were sitting right there the whole time.
Michelle decides to take Graham, Kasey and Blake on her date. It was hilarious, Vienna got so jealous when Michelle picked Kasey! Also, Melissa was annoyed that she took Blake on her date as well. I don’t know what they were worried about because anyone can see that Michelle only has eyes for Graham.
They go have a meal at a beautiful outdoor location. Michelle pulls Blake aside and tells him that he better fix the situation with Melissa or he’s out of there. Then, she pulls Graham away from the guys for some one-on-one time. She admits that she has a crush on him, and he admits that he likes her too. He’s still getting over a rough breakup, but that doesn’t stop them from locking lips! I hope Michelle doesn’t end up getting hurt by him!
Michael meantime, decides to ask Vienna, Ella, and Holly out on his date. They end up going horseback riding which looks like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, Vienna just complains the WHOLE time. She just doesn’t know how to relax and have fun! Ella gets really annoyed at her.
Then, Michael asks Holly to talk to him and she reluctantly does so. She says that she doesn’t know if she wants to be spending so much time with Michael because they are broken up and she doesn’t see them working out. Still, it’s clear that they both really miss each other a lot. She tells him that she feels like she’s home when she’s with him and he just starts gushing about how beautiful she is and ends up crying. It’s so sad. This guy’s heart is just breaking and breaking over and over for her.
Michael gives Holly the date rose and the other girls go back to the house. Brett Michaels arrives and talks to the “couple” for a bit. He felt bad to learn that they were no longer engaged, but played “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” for them, and they reflected on their relationship. I am really rooting for them to work their stuff out and be together!
Back at the house, Jake and Erica are strategizing about how to keep him in the house and get Kasey out. Earlier, Jake spoke to Blake who also thought he might get eliminated and got him on his side. Erica, just isn’t letting up and she is all over Jake! Jake decides to give in and ends up making out with her and just seems to feel happy to have an ally at last. Erica said “I have good lips that I maintain by getting injections every six months.” Ick Erica! You don’t need that!
It’s also Kasey and Vienna’s six month anniversary. He decides to give her a present so that she knows he’s still on her side and that he loves her. He pulls out a ring box, and Vienna freaks out! She actually says, “I don’t want it to be an engagement ring”. Kasey says, that’s messed up and wants to know why she’s trying to ruin a sweet moment, and tells her it’s just a promise ring. Then the worst part. He starts singing her a song.
As elimination looms, Melissa’s emotions go crazy. Erica and Melissa argue about alliances and all of the housemates think that Melissa is crazy. Blake decides that’s a good time to let her know that they are just friends and that there is nothing romantic there. She just accepts it, but then goes and finds Jake.
She cries all over Jake, who tries to comfort her and keep her in the game because he needs her to vote Kasey out. She gets it together and they go into the main room where Chris Harrison is.
Chris Harrison drops another bomb this week and says that all of the ladies are safe and that one guy will be getting voted out. The house whips into a frenzy and Erica starts campaigning hard to keep Jake around. Vienna finds out about the plan and shames Erica for trying to eliminate her boyfriend.
Erica says that she can’t believe that “people are letting trailer park trash and a tattooed guy run their lives” and thinks it’s pathetic. During the elimination, when William went up to accept his rose, I totally forgot he was still on the show! I wonder if we’ll hear from him more at any point!
Chris Harrison announces that it is the closest vote in “Bachelor Pad” history, and in the end it’s Jake who’s going home. As soon as Kasey’s name was called as safe, the screen went black and the episode ended. It was insane! Kasey and Jake are definitely going to have words at the very least upon his exit, so I cannot wait to see where this picks up next Monday!
Also next Monday, the cast of “Dancing With the Stars” will be announced during the show so you won’t want to miss that!
Hugs, Kisses & Roses,
